USLEAP is non-partisan and works with labor groups in the region that ask for our assistance and are committed to advancing the cause of their workers.
USLEAP's program work is focused on the empowerment of workers themselves and support for their own struggles for self-determination. USLEAP therefore works closely with workers' trade unions in Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico.
USLEAP believes that efforts in the global North to support economic justice for workers in the global South must be built on respectful partnerships with workers in the South. Without such partnerships and close coordination, support work in the North may unintentionally take forms that are not in the best interest of the workers themselves.
